I beleive this is the first time I ever searched for a solution to a problem ("disappearing windows" I use "Dogpile") and found it on the very first link i clicked on. I don't know who you are but you made my day!

Worked like a charm! You rock. I can now move my disappearing windows back into actual screens!

wow, thanks for this tip. it made my day. i had this problem of disappearing windows for one of my apps. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. but that didn’t solve my issue. finally a simple search on google led me to this post.
