Upgrade to Tiger by getting a Mini

Upgrade to Tiger by buying a Mini. I’ve been thinking that this is the best option as well. Helps that I want a second mini for desktop use when I shift to the UK.

However I’ll probably hold off, and not buy into the hype. Let some other people beta test Tiger.

My Tiger arrives on Monday. I’ll let you know what it’s all about then 🙂

I asked the clowns @ Magnum if they’d allow you to get a “free” copy of Tiger if I bought a Mini like a month back, and they said no. Like, who’s going to buy a new Mac with the OS upgrade of the year only four weeks away?

Anyway. There are other mechanisms for securing a copy of Tiger. Less… legitimate 🙂 I’ve seen a few rumours about Torrents. But, I’m buying it to support Apple, they make good code and kit.

Ars Technica has a very good review up.
