OQO2 the most efficient UMPC
All the demo videos that have been shown around the net at the moment for the OQO2 have been very compelling. This report just adds to the geek allure: ‘Worlds most efficient UMPC’ title falls to OQO. I suggest also reading the Gadgeteer review, it covers a good amount of detail.
The VIA UMD platform is efficient, I know that, and until now its not really been used to its limits.but in this report from The Gadgeteer (great review) they talk about 2.5 hours real world usage with the 16W/hr battery. Excuse me, did you just say that the QOQ Model O2 consumes an average of 6.6 watts of power?

Best option is probably http://dynamism.com/, or http://www.expansys.co.nz/. http://www.tegatech.com.au/ is the Australia and NZ distributor and they use http://vantex.co.nz in Auckland as the NZ reseller. I think the person there is Katie. They might even have some demo units.
Personally I’d get it from dynamism, however I’m waiting for the HSPDA model. Plus the EEE PC is pretty cool to play around with at the moment.

I am seriously considering the Asus R2H…not the prettiest machine, but seems to have all the functions I want and like.
This ones seems good but I don’t like te lack of touch screen and the need for a special pen.

Go to DSE and try an EEE PC, smaller screen but the same resolution. At least half the price and similar functionality – no touch screen, etc.
I also suggest trying to get hold of a unit to try it out In HK I’ve tried the Samsung Q1s, the U810s and several Sony’s. I don’t recall the R1H and the OQO is only just setting up in Asia. But handling the other UMPCs gave me a feel for what I like.
